Rhinoplasty, which is one of the most frequently performed aesthetic operations in our country as well as all over the world, is based on the correction of structural and functional disorders that occur as a result of genetic or traumatic conditions. It is aimed that the patient can breathe comfortably and have a nose proportional to the facial features. The operation takes an average of 2-2.5 hours under general anesthesia. After the operation, it is necessary to stay in the hospital for 1 night. During the operation, silicone pads that allow you to breathe comfortably into the nose and a splint are placed on the upper part of the nose. On the 7th day of the operation, the silicone pads and splint are removed and your stitches are removed, and your final control is completed. Postoperative swelling goes down after 1-2 months, but it takes 6 months for the edema to go away completely. It takes 1 year for a nose to fully heal and take its shape. Glasses should not be used for 3 months after the operation. Sunscreen should be used to prevent staining in the surgical area. Sports with a ball for 3 months, movements that can be impacted should not be done and swimming should be avoided as it will increase edema.
